Historical Information

Lake Halice was incorporated in October, 1955 by Mr. Harold Oldham, the developer of the Lake Halice area.

In 1959, it was voted to name the corporation the Lake Halice Homeowner's Association. Newly elected officers purchased the assets of Lake Halice, Inc. These officers also projected a schedule of dues to be paid by the property owners. These dues amount to a maximum of $25 per year(went to $35 in 2010, as approved at the 2009 annual meeting) and are used for the maintenance of the lake, payment of taxes and other expenses, and for social events to be sponsored in whole or in part by property owners in the Lake Halice area. As provided in the By-Laws, the annual dues are collected by the Board of Directors and are used exclusively for Association yearly expenses.

Membership in the Association is automatic as is specified in the abstract for each lot. There are certain covenants provided in the deed and abstract, which enhance the value of the homes in the area. The Association strives to maintain and improve property values, give members a voice in civic affairs and enable residents to become better acquainted with their neighbors.
